O voditeljima:
Ron van der Post (1955) jedan je od malobrojnih zapadnjačkih učenika velikog gurua Brahmrishi Viswatma Bawraji Maharaja. Nakon mnogo godina edukacije i putovanja sa svojim Guruom u Indiji, Ron je na njegov zahtjev pokrenuo škole i edukacije za jogu početkom devedesetih godina. Područje njegovog djelovanja proteže se kroz Europu od Nizozemske preko Francuske, pa sve do Hrvatske, i na Surinam (Južna Amerika). Ron podučava jogu na način na koji je ona prenošena stoljećima na Himalaji. Osnovna snaga i naglasak ovih podučavanja jest definitivno na individualnom pristupu i procesu koji se događa u nama kroz jogu. To je Ashtanga Yoga u izvornom obliku sa centralnim osloncem u Karma Yogi. Ovladavanje mentalnim i energetskim procesima koji se odvijaju u tijelu je osnovna svrha ovog stila joge. Asane nisu cilj već samo alat kojim ulazimo u mentalni proces. Posebni naglasak stavljen je na Patanjalijevih osam udova joge, te primjenu i uporabu jama i nijama. U ovoj tradiciji najvažniji je individualni razvoj svakog učenika. Učenike se međusobno ne uspoređuje. Joga nije natjecanje. Ron je završio edukacije za medicinskog tehničara, socijalnog radnika, psihoterapeuta, terapeutskog masera, shiatsu terapeuta i nutricionista. Podukom se bavi 40 godina.
Ana Arapinec (1988), rođena u Varaždinu, posvetila je školovanje učenju o moru i morskim sisavcima, prvenstveno kitovima i dupinima. Nakon istraživačkog rada s dupinima u Zadarskom akvatoriju, daljnja edukacija i posao odveli su ju do Nizozemske gdje je upisala trogodišnju edukaciju za učitelja joge pod vodstvom Ron van der Posta. Kroz ovaj detaljni holistički program dobila je mnoge odgovore i pronašla svoj pravi životni put i poziv. Slobodno je vrijeme posvećivala učenju ajurvede i prehrane. Nakon raznih iskustava u inozemstvu, odlučila je vratiti se korijenima i sada živi i radi na području Varaždina, Hrvatske i Europe održavajući razne edukacije i radionice vezane uz holistički pristup zdravom životu, najviše kroz Anatura holistički centar kojeg je osnovala 2019. godine. Kontinuirano se nastavlja educirati na području osobnog razvoja.
Ron i Ana od 2019 zajedno kreiraju i vode programe u Hrvatskoj u kojima spajaju vedsku znanost (jogu), boravak na energetski značajnim mjestima u prirodi i promatranja dupina koji nadahnjuju i otvaraju ljudska srca ljubavi.

Okupit ćemo se na večeri u subotu, 10.8.2024. u 18:30 na predivnoj terasi uz more u hotelu Korinjak na otoku Ižu.
Nakon večere upoznati ćemo se i predstaviti program za nadolazeće dane.

Program na zadnji dan u subotu 17.8.2024. biti će prilagođen na način da svi koji odlaze s otoka stignu na brod za Zadar.
U jutarnjoj ćemo praksi istražiti mogućnosti tijela i naše fizičke granice. Sve ćemo raditi s poštovanjem prema tijelu i sukladno tome što će biti moguće. Izazov će biti upravo ta igra s granicama, proces, a ne postizanje nekog završnog položaja.
Razgovarati ćemo o logici i znanjima koja stoje iza tih položaja, koja objašnjavaju naše fizičko, mentalno i emocionalno stanje.
Objasniti ćemo efekte i smisao praktičnog dijela ashtanga yoge, uzroke naših ograničenja i kako ih premostiti, uvidjeti ćemo zašto svatko od nas funkcionira na određeni način.
Sva ova znanja baziraju se na savršenoj filozofiji proizašloj iz mnogo godina iskustva velikih jogija. Popodnevna praksa će nas pripremati na meditaciju kroz otvaranje kukova i zdjelice.
Posebna pozornost posvetiti će se meditaciji, razumijevanju meditativnog procesa, koracima u tom procesu, te svrsi i efektima.
Ukoliko postoje teme koje o kojima biste rado diskutirali, potičemo Vas da ih pošaljete na naš mail kako bi ih mogli inkorporirati u predavanja.
Također, tijekom programa, uvijek će biti vremena da postavite svoja pitanja. Kroz interakciju ćete i najviše naučiti i najviše toga dobiti.
Ovaj program je jednako prikladan za početnike kao i odličan izazov za one koji već dulje prakticiraju jogu i traže nešto više.
Program je za sve vas koji ste znatiželjni, željni znanja i zanima vas što je to uistinu joga.
Osobe s ozbiljnim zdravstvenim problemima neka potraže savjet liječnika i jave nam unaprijed svoje stanje.
Za zainteresirane organizirati ćemo izlet promatranja dupina, izlazak sunca na vrhu otoka i prema mogućnostima još možda koji izlet kao na primjer na nenaseljeni otočić Rutnjak.

About us:
Ron van der Post (1955) is one of the few western students of Brahmrishi Bawraji Viswatma Maharaj. He was educated and trained for many years, before starting his own schools in Holland, France, Suriname and Croatia.
Throughout the years, he went to India many times to travel and study with his Guru since the early nineties. throughout India and the Himalayas.
Many times his Guru came to Ron’s yoga school to give lectures about philosophy as well as yoga practice.
Ron teaches yoga the way it has been done through centuries in the Himalayas.
The individual character and process which is undoubtedly the strength of this form of teaching is the core of his yoga training. It is Ashtanga Yoga in its truest form, with Karma Yoga as the central pillar.
Gaining control over the mental and energetic processes that take place in the body is the main purpose of this kind of yoga.
The asanas are simply a means of getting a grip of the mental side of yoga. Asanas are not the goal.
Special emphasis is put on the 8-foldpath of yoga, as described by Patanjali, and the application and use of the yamas and niyamas.
The individual development of each student is of utmost importance and students are not compared with one another, since yoga is not a competition. Ron van der Post is trained as a nurse, social worker, psychotherapist, massage therapist, shiatsu therapist and nutritionist. He has been teaching for 40 years, and has trained hundreds of students throughout many countries. He has taught yoga all over Europe, South America and India.
Ana Arapinec (1988), born in Varaždin (Croatia), dedicated her early study years to marine biology, especially marine mammals.
After researching dolphin population in Zadar area, further education and work brought her to the Netherlands where she enrolled in Ron’s 3 year yoga teacher training. Through this in depth holistic program she got many answers, found her path and calling. During that time she also studied about Ayurveda and nutrition. After living abroad for 6 years she decided to go back to her roots and is now sharing her knowledge about holistic approach to life through weekly classes, trainings, massages, coaching, workshops and seminars in Varaždin, Croatia and Europe, mostly through Anatura Holistic Center she established in 2019.
Ana likes to continuously learn further and make steps on the spiritual path. Since 2019, Ron and Ana are creating and guiding programs in Croatia which combine vedic science (Yoga), energetic spots in nature and dolphin encounters which insipre and open human hearts to love.
Program:
We will get together with dinner on Saturday, 10th of August 2024 at 18:30 on the beautiful seaside terrace at Korinjak hotel.
After dinner we will get to meet each other a bit more and the program for the upcoming days will be presented.
A usual day at the retreat will look like this:

The morning practice will be dynamic and challenging. We will discover the possibilities of the body and we will play with the physical/mental borders. Always with respect for what is possible or not.
The challenge is to play, not to reach the final pose.
We will talk about the logic behind the poses and of the body, the effect and the purpose of the practical part of the Ashtanga yoga. What is the cause of limitation and how can we overcome this limitation. Why do we function the way we do. There is a perfect philosophy which is based on ages of experience of the yogi’s.
The afternoon practice will be all about preparing ourselves for meditation and the sitting pose. Opening the hips and the pelvis.
We will dive in to the philosophy of the yoga practice and due to that we will understand what meditation is and what it can bring us. It is a journey to our inner self. To become a human as we are meant to be.
If there are topics which you would like to discuss during the retreat you can send them already in advance so that we can incorporate them into the program.
Also, during the retreat, there will always be opportunity to ask all the questions you have. Interaction is the way we like to work.
This retreat will be a challenge for those who are already practicing for a while and are looking for more. Those who are curios about the background of what yoga really is.
Those with serious medical problems should consult a doctor for advice and inform us in advance.
The schedule throughout the week can vary a little depending on the day and several other facultative activities we will organise for you such as the sunrise hike and dolphin watching.
Program on our last day will be adjusted according to the boat timetable for those who are leaving the island.

The closest airport is Zadar. Other most recommended options are Split or Zagreb. From Zadar it is very easy to get to the island Iž and hotel Korinjak. There are several boats per day and the ride takes about an hour. It is possible to reach Zadar by bus/train and also by car. For those coming by car- you can bring your car by ferry to the hotel parking on the island.
