Balancing of the 5 Elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space – forms the foundation of this retreat, with daily Wild Yoga, walking, meditation and sea dips to bring you back into your natural state of wellbeing.

Somatic Movement works with the body’s natural intelligence and will further enhance the healing and restorative effects, and will completely change the way you look at yoga! It’s more mindful and “mindful”, and the body loves it!

Iz is one of the most unique and interesting destinations, as it is located on a powerful energy point, and the Retreat venue, Hotel Korinjak, has been welcoming guests for the complete holistic experience since 2000.

About Your Teacher :

Gillie Sutherland

BA (Hons) in Physical Education, Yoga Teacher and Teacher Trainer, Certified Coach, Fully Qualified in Fitness and Nutrition, Meditation Teacher, Hiking & Adventure Guide, Creator of Wild Yoga, Inspired by Nature, Grounded in Science

My work has evolved over the last 30 years in the field of health and wellbeing, and I now understand that it’s all about aligning with the laws of nature, and finding our own unique state of balance, in order to optimise our health and vitality.

I am passionate about sharing how we can move, live and eat according to the laws of nature so that we can go and shine our light out into the world.

My own journey began at the age of 18, where I discovered how were heal through recovering from a serious back injury obtained in a car accident.

I went on to study anatomy and physiology, everything about how the body works, as well as psychology, but it was only when I came across mind/body medicine back in 1992 that my world really changed and I discovered my life purpose.

For the last 15 years I have been running retreats all over the world. I love seeing the transformations that take place over the course of a week of self-care and self-discovery.

My philosophy is that anything done with a sense of joy, and play, is good for us. I believe in nourishing not punishing the body, to flow not to force, and that there is no one path that suits everyone.

It’s about finding your own way, and with that in mind, my aim is more to faciltate the process of self-discovery and re-connection to the body, rather than to teach one way as the only way.

We are plants, not machines, bio-intelligent organisms, constantly interacting with our environment, and utterly magnificent in our uniqueness.

I believe everything thats with self-compassion and awareness. We are all perfect as we are, and we hold within us this magic that is the same as the magic around us.

My intention for you is to remember that life is magic, and so are you.
